I had the honor or working on and off with Kenny from the time I was 21 years old until now (don’t ask the age please (he he
). The privilege was mine to be able to be the last band he played/recorded with before he left for his dream of retiring and playing with the best of the best in Cuerna Vaca, Mexico, where he passed away.
During the time I worked with Kenny, he was asked to do many many many benefits with me. He never ever refused. He got his stuff together, and went and helped us raise thousands in our time playing together. This is only a bird’s eye view of the things he did while he was involved in my band, which does not include all of the things he did with other groups. Therefore, it is with great honor that Maxine and Company will be hosting this event. We are encouraging bands to sign up for a slot to play for this Tribute, honoring Kenny. You can e-mail me via e-mail at mworth5656@msn.com or call me at (303) 995-9957.
Please feel free to share this with other musicians and encourage them to sign up as well. Also, if you would like to share some memories of Kenny, feel free to email them to me at mworth5656@msn.com.
We look forward to seeing all of you there in this wonderful tribute to Kenny Ortega.
God Bless You All,
